I’m currently doing a PhD under the supervision of Prof Elizabeth Wonnacott and Dr Holly Jenkins.

My current research is on the mental representation and learning of syntax, from a usage-based and construction grammar perspective. For example, what is the role of statistical learning in the formation of syntactic categories and argument structure, and how is this process different/similar to the learning of large-language models. I investigate these questions by both experimental and corpus approaches, such as artificial language learning experiments and artificial neural networks (connectionist models).
