Dr Heike Krüsemann

Researcher

Research Associate

My research interests centre on motivation for language learning, digital and non-digital pedagogies, and creativity in the language classroom. My work is interdisciplinary, bringing together the -for me- most exciting aspects of Education, Applied Linguistics, Psychology, and Languages.

Short biography

Originally from Germany, I’m now based in the city of my dreams – yes, Oxford! I’m loving life here as a lecturer, researcher, city guide author, Morris dancer, Samba bander, and creative writer. In previous incarnations I researched Language Learning on the Creative Multilingualism programme, and taught languages in English secondary schools. I’m a super curious person, and if you put me on the spot, I’d say my enthusiasm for learning just about my outweighs my passion for teaching.
